WELCOME
TO CHABAD! ALLOW US TO INTRODUCE OURSELVES:
Here at Chabad, we don't see 'traditional' and 'tolerant'
as mutually exclusive terms. Jewish tradition has always promoted
a loving and non-judgmental approach from one human to another.
Chabad
around the world is dedicated to making the richness of Jewish
heritage accessible to the contemporary Jew, every Jew.
OUR
HEBREW SCHOOL
Chabad's Hebrew School strives to make Judaism vivid
and user-friendly for today's child. The Hebrew School experience
should be relevant enough to last children a lifetime. Our
hands-on style of learning encourages children to be active,
rather than passive learners.
CAN
JEWISH STUDY COME ALIVE FOR CHILDREN?
Drama, song and interactive workbooks bring the information
to life. Some of our innovative methods include: teaching
history with our easy-to-read timeline to give a panoramic
view of Jewish and secular history, and our 'Meaningful Mitzvah'
program which emphasizes the mitzvah's moral message for everyday
life, in addition to its ritual mechanics. Our excellent Hebrew
language curriculum ensures that your child will be able to
read from a "Siddur" (prayer book), and also have an understanding
of many prayers. Your child will know that he/she has some
common language with any Synagogue that life may lead them
to.

STAFF
Our staff is carefully selected for their broad knowledge
of Judaism, dedication and experience in teaching children.
They are trained to use our 'multi-sensory' curriculum, designed
to connect with a child in his/her most comfortable learning
style.
CHABAD
RELIGIOUS SCHOOL FOR ADULTS LET'S MAKE THIS A FAMILY LEARNING
EXPERIENCE.
Our parallel learning program for parents is an easy way for
families to come together in an appreciation of our rich heritage.
Six-week sessions are taught by our Hebrew School staff and
are offered twice during the school year. A complete listing
of the classes is included in your registration package.
CHAI
YOUTH CLUB
Every student in our Hebrew School is automatically enrolled
as a member in the CHAI Youth Club, a club for children 6
- 13. This exciting club offers pizza parties, ice-skating,
outings to baseball games and more. Members of the club also
participate in community service by distributing toys to hospitalized
children, and performing for seniors.
BAR/BAT
MITZVAH
As your child nears the age of Bar/Bat Mitzvah, preparation
for the big day begins. We believe there should be more than
mere memorization of a recital. Our program delves into the
whole process and true meaning of the Bar/Bat Mitzvah. The
child achieves a much greater appreciation and understanding
of a Jewish adult's responsibilities. Private tutoring is
arranged and the Rabbi is available for consultation on all
aspects of the special day. Your family will have the option
of celebrating in the warm and traditional atmosphere of our
synagogue
